Sunday.  Today at church Bryant's teacher asked him to draw a picture of something that was special to him.  He drew a picture of me, his momma.  Sweet!!  When we got home, Vince said, "Why didn't you draw a picture of me Bryant?"  So Bryant set out to draw his dad.  Vince added, "Don't forget to give me muscles!"  This is what he came up with...

We also caught up on our hand prints today.  Bryant is so ticklish when I paint his hand.  Lots of laughter!

10.21

Friday.  Crazy day!!  I have felt like a chicken with my head  cut off all day!  Not necessarily in a bad way... just busy! 

My turn for car pool to High School.  (Vince is still working since yesterday at 4:00 in the afternoon... so I have to make sure the other kids are up and moving, because by the time I make it back home they have 5 minutes until they have to be out the door.)  I make 4 lunches, leave 3 on the counter for the kids and I leave with Riley at 6:45am to pick up 2 other seminary goers.  Make it back to send Brenna off on her very anticipated "Pink Day".   Take a quick shower so Bryant and I can run off to a Relief Society meeting.  Realize Brenna forgot her glasses, so I swing by the school on the way to my meeting.  After the RS meeting, Bryant and I go to Walmart since we are out of everything important.  Make it back in time to put away cold items and welcome the kids home.  Wrap present for a birthday party that Brenna has been looking forward to for a week and then get her to party.  Make it back in time to bring Wyatt and Bryant to our primary program practice.  (Yes, I let Brenna miss this... she knows her part well and I only found out about this practice yesterday:)  Watch the practice, try to read a magazine, laugh at Bryant who is waving and blowing me kisses from the front row on the stand.  Watch the kids enjoying pizza as there dinner / reward for such a great practice.   Wanting pizza, but have 9 more days on this diet. :(   Leave the church and go back to pick Brenna up from her party.  She of course had a great time at the Ostrich Farm.  It is so fun to know that family (Tyler's family owns and runs the Ostrich Farm at Picacho Peak).  We finally all make it home and now I have to make dinner for those of us who did not get to eat pizza.  Vince gets to come home for his dinner break.  Nice to spend a little time with him. ... Then I notice that the kitchen is in bad shape!  Does anyone else know how to do dishes?  Do we NOT have a kitchen chart in play?  Pull the house together and develop plans for tomorrow which include getting up way to early to participate in our Stake Service Day. 

Oh... life is fun! :)

Saturday.  Brenna had a soccer game today.  She rocked it too, (even though her tummy wasn't feelng that great).  She was tough!  Her coach likes to refer to her as "the wall"!  Nothing gets past Brenna.

Tuesday.  Another busy day!  Today we had family pictures taken.  Why, oh why is that such a difficult thing to do??  Vince dreads this every time we do it.  The kids whine and complain, "we take pictures all the time, can't we just use one of those for the wall?"  ... but the absolute worst is me!!  ME I said!  I do not intend to wait until the last minute to pull our outfits together... but here I am on THE DAY of pictures, at the store looking for a shirt to wear.  Seriously!  Brenna was my shopping helper.  She is all decked out in an interesting outfit of her own with braids all over her head, per the request for kinky hair for the pictures.  I was only looking for a red shirt.  Can that be so hard?  Apparently YES!  But,  It is ok... all is well!  In the end, I just used an old shirt and guess what?  It all turned out just fine! In fact, thanks to our nice photographer, we had a really fun time taking pictures as a family.  Then we ran home to get to a soccer game for the boys.  No, ... we never stop!

Monday.  This was the day we finally made it bowling!  The kids have wanted to go bowling since the end of summer. How is it already FALL BREAK?  Well, better late than never! 
We had a blast!!  What a fun day out together!  The kids were giggly and happy!  Vince and I were pretty rusty, but we pulled it out... showed the kids how it's done.  :) haha
Well, we had a good time anyway...

10.9

Sunday.  Sundays have been a little tough these days.  Vince has a new and unbearable schedule, 1pm - 9pm.  His days off are Monday and Tuesday.  Which pretty much makes going to church (1-4pm) impossible.  Vince has tried and tried to make something work with his Stg. (like trading shifts with another willing officer on Sundays), but he is all about power and won't let him switch! ??  So if Vince is lucky, every once in a while, he will be able to use some vacation hours so he can make it to church.  UGH!!  I don't have a lot of patience for illogical nonsense.  I am, on the other hand, completely proud of my husband, who stands up for what he knows is right.  Even when it is not the popular thing to do!
So... tough to go to church without Vince.  I miss sitting next to him, PLUS the kids (W,B,Bry) were completely irreverent!  Today Brenna was full of the wiggles, and acted like she was 4!  Wyatt kept bothering Bryant and asking him to ask me if he could color. (I guess thinking I would let Bryant and then Wyatt could join in.)  Preston was wonderful!  He truly is growing up and ready for the responsibilities of the Priesthood!  Hopefully next Sunday will be the day! (fingers crossed!)  Riley bore his testimony today in Sacrament.  It was a wonderful surprise, as he walked up to the pulpit from the back door usher position.  I am so thankful that he is able to share his thoughts and beliefs with others.  It lifted me.  ...So I started off feeling a bit sorry for myself and as I write this, I can see how very blessed I really am!!  :)

Saturday.  A very exciting soccer game this morning!!  Nana and Papa came out to see Preston and Wyatt in action!  Wyatt is an awesome defender and Preston made a goal (almost had 2... it was so close!!) Vince is a great coach!  He needs a megaphone, (instead of losing his voice every Saturday morning!)  Maybe we all need megaphones!!  (We like to cheer :)
