Thursday.   The last full day of Cousins Camp and the kids have had a ball!  They learned stories about our ancestors, played many games, had a few manners lessons from the Aunts.  Played and played.  Cousins camp is awesome!

Wednesday.  Grandpa and Aunt Becky took the kids bowling.  Groups 1 and 2.  Preston got a few strikes, but all the other kids used the bumpers and Grandpa and Becky kept fingers crossed that the ball would make it down the lane!  Fun time for all!  
(Groups 3 and 4 went to the church building and played lots of fun games.)

Tuesday.  Cousins Camp 2012 
This was the day everyone gathered at Grandma's and Grandpa's house for cousin camp.  So much effort and preparation went into this week!  We are so lucky to have such fun Aunts and grandparents!  So fun to see everyone!!

 

 Mom made signs for all the doors.  The kids were thrilled to be roommates with their cousins.

Not sure why Sadie is sad in the corner of this page.  Probably told that there were too many kids on the tramp and to wait a minute.  I feel a little bad for her until I look at Wyatt's face and then I can't help and giggle.  Kids are funny.  The kids got way into making friendship bracelets.  They were so fun.  Brenna especially loved it and would help anyone who needed it.  Cute.

Monday.  We drove to Las Vegas to bring the kids to cousins camp.  Grandma and Grandpa were going to drive down and pick them up, but Riley has been doing so well that we decided to drive them up ourselves and stay for a day.  Riley was anxious to have some new scenery and see our family too.  We loved seeing everyone as they all gathered to LasVegas.  Vince, Riley and I decided to get some steak and eggs at midnight.  I had guilt with Riley out in public. :(   I sanitized our table and did not let him touch... anything.  It will take awhile for "the mom" to relax a bit.

Friday.  We enjoyed our overnight and headed to the lake with our group before driving home.  Riley LOVED being in the outdoors.  He talked with the older kids and had a blast.  The younger kids loved the canoeing and fishing.  We had a wonderful time together and getting to know others that knew what we were up to these days.  It was very rejuvenating!

Tonto Natural Bridge. 

Vince cannot take a road trip without "checking out" the area we are passing.  He was so excited to see Tonto Natural Bridge on the way home.  We all just went with it and man alive are we glad we did!  It was an amazing site to see!  It was beautiful and very cool!

Thursday.  Early this morning, we drove to Payson Arizona to attend the American Cancer Society overnight.  We were greeted by the nicest people who ran the camp and the counselors.  Kesler, the boy sitting next to Riley, was also diagnosed with AML when he was 15.  He is 19 now and you wouldn't know it from this picture, but he is the happiest person.  He comes to camp every year as a counselor now and was very encouraging for Riley to do the same!  I think Riley was getting a little practice as some kids were following him around thinking he was a counselor. 

The kids were immediately entertained. So many happy and helpful people!   We then found our cabin for the night.  The kids loved the porch swing at the cabin.

Our first activity of the day was horseback riding.  We were all very excited to give this a try.  The kids have never ridden a horse before.  We all loved it!  Bryant got on first and was given a little tutorial by one of the counselors.  It was the sweetest thing to watch!  What a fun thing to do together! 

We also did a little fishing, crafting and bubble making!  This was a hit!  Wyatt and Brenna really got into it!!  The counselors stood around watching the creations!  It was very entertaining!! 

Wyatt would get a huge bubble and put his hand through it before it popped.  Check out Bryant's face after it popped!  It was exciting!

Good stuff!  Fun day together!

Wednesday.   Happy Fourth of July!  Our friends, the Beaches, came over for a BBQ.  We like to hang out with these guys!  We will miss them when they move to Minnesota in a few weeks.
