7.21

Saturday.  We had a good day.  We missed Dad and Riley though, who are in New Mexico for the week. They were invited to experience Cabela's adventure camp in conjuntion with the NRA. They will spend the week shooting guns. Pistols and rifles, and even some archery and skeet shooting. I am so thankful that they will be able to spend some quality time together, doing something fun!!
The kids and I did something equally fun today (well, maybe not really :).  We made "GET READY FOR THE DAY" lists.  After starting school this past week, I realized we needed a little help in this area.  Somehow, unless I am standing right next to them... the kids do not remember to brush their teeth.  Amazing. 
The kids wrote their "getting ready for the day" list and after my approval, they wrote it on a bigger page that we put in their rooms.  Right by the door.  They all got into it and even Bryant drew some pictures for his list.  It was fun.  We laughed a lot and made plans for the school mornings around here.  It's a process, I know... but maybe someday they will brush their teeth and pick up the dirty laundry on the floor (that is laying right next to the dirty clothes basket), ON THEIR OWN.  A girl can dream :)
