Hope all is well and that you had a good week! Best thing this week? Hardest thing this week?
The boys left for scout camp early Monday morning and looked forward to a productive week! They ended up having a great time and accomplished a lot. The food was good this year and they even had steak on their last night! The bishop was up there most of the week and offered a workout at 5AM for anyone who wanted. The boys enjoyed that even tho it was very early. Preston was also able to get in his runs so he was pretty happy. They would then join in on the penguin swim at 6AM. They were so thankful that the pool wasn't too cold. :) Wyatt and some friends used some sticks etc. and a few things they got from the trading post and made bows and arrows. The bishop then got in on the action and helped them make slings. That was a highlight for Wyatt!! They are pretty tired out from the week but I'm so glad they had a good time! Dad went up Friday afternoon to help out and get scouts home on Saturday. It sure was good to get everyone home again.
Brenna had a big week as she and a few other friends went with the Stueck's to the beach and six flags. She had a great few days despite her worst fear coming true ... Getting stuck in an elevator for about 20 minutes (with her friends). She survived despite some girl dramatics. Haha. It was odd to be home with just Bryant this week but we had fun. :) I think we went to the pool everyday and sure enjoyed the one on one time !
Dad got the new 6 plus iphone. Wyatt calls it his "tablet". It is huge!
We also upgraded our van. We got the same van. Even the same color. But about 100,000 less miles and is 2 years newer. The most awesome aspect is that it was owned by an older women and it is in excellent condition. I'm not even sure if anyone has ever sat in the back seat. It is in new condition! I almost hate to take it on our trip to Utah this summer for fear that it will not quite be as clean when we get home. Haha. But it will be nice to not overheat on our trip like in years past and we can vacuum it out when we get home right ?! ;)
We leave for our Gibson reunion in St. George this Thursday and then will head up to Orem and Logan after that.
We will miss you but know you are doing important work where you are at!
Aunt Angie told me she was going to write you about what's been going on with her. She is strong and brave and we have had a lot of great talks! She has often referred to your example and experience and I'm thankful for our perspective on life because of that. She has been a great example to me during this trial! She is doing great and has such good support at home and in her ward! It will be wonderful to see her and everyone this week!
I face timed my dad and mom today and got to wish my dad a Happy Father's Day! That was a treat! They are doing great on their mission in Chile and are nearing their half way mark as are you! ;)
We pray for "our missionaries", you and gma and gpa, everyday! We are thankful for your service and great examples!! Keep it up! Work hard!! And have a wonderful week ahead!
Love,
Mom
Preston and Wyatt left for scout camp at 5 AM Monday morning
Bryant loves the slides and asks to go to the pool everyday. It's summer. Why not ;)
Bryant and dad watching the NBA Finals and doing some pushups
With Preston and Wyatt at scout camp and Brenna gone to six flags with the Stuecks (Emelia and Caity), it was just the three of us at home. Weird.
Bryant heading off to cub scouts. The new program starts this month.
Brenna and gang on their adventures to the beach and Six Flags
91* in the morning! Ugh. Check out our week.
This was Bryant and I on the way to Costco.
And we headed straight to "the cold place" to cool off!! Bryant is trying to "see his breath". It was refreshing!
We went through the car wash, went to the mall to get See's candy for Father's day, and of course visit the puppies :)
As hot as it was, we sure had a beautiful sunset !
This was dad on his way up Mt. Lemmon to help out Friday evening and drive scouts home Saturday. Jealous!!
Preston and Wyatt are in the right corner. They had a good week!
Dad is hilarious! He tried to scare us with his scary campfire face.
Happy Father's Day to the best dad EVER!
So fun to talk to my Dad on Father's day! He is an amazing example and solid as a rock! It was such a treat to "see" mom and dad!!
